James Choi Demonstrates MiYO® Liquid Ceramic at Private Event in California

On Friday May 10, 2019 Jensen Dental hosted a private LIVE MiYO® hands-on demonstration, taught by ceramist James Choi at the Delta Marriott Hotel in Garden Grove, California. During the 3-hour demonstration, in addition to learning a simple and easy way to match shades and get the depth and translucency needed on monolithic or cutback crowns, attendees learned how to: easily alter shades up and down while adding translucency; create shape and fine surface detail in the wet stage with no changes after firing; create highly characterized restorations that rival esthetics typically only seen with hand-layered restorations in unprecedented thicknesses of 0.1mm-0.2mm— all in one firing with MiYO Liquid Ceramic. Jensen Dental Supports CEREC Women in Dentistry Event

In April, Jensen Dental hosted a one-hour lecture at the 2019 EPIC Spring Break Women’s Dental Meeting in Miami, Florida at the Royal Palm South Beach.

The lecture, presented by Don Cornell, demonstrated through several patient cases, the growing utility of digital technologies in the dental clinic. He also reviewed CAD/CAM materials, where we are today and where we are headed, and how to achieve exceptional esthetic outcomes with all ceramic restorations utilizing the revolutionary MiYO Liquid Ceramic System.

The EPIC Spring Break Women’s Dental Meeting took place on Thursday, April 25 – Sunday, April 28, 2019, with Jensen Dental serving as one of the exclusive sponsors. CAD/CAM continues to transform the dental industry. Beyond manufacturing, digital technologies are rapidly reshaping the way we diagnose, treatment plan and communicate. And rapid improvements in CAD/CAM materials have created a growing demand for monolithic restorations. With roughly 85% of all metal free restorations now monolithic, technicians must find new materials and techniques for achieving esthetic outcomes traditionally achieved with ceramic layering.

In this presentation, Mr. Cornell will demonstrate through several patient cases, the growing utility of digital technologies in the laboratory and the dental clinic, and the expanding role of the dental technologist as a result. He will also look critically at CAD/CAM materials, where we are today and where we are headed, and how to achieve exceptional esthetic outcomes with monolithic and minimally layered restorations.

Don Cornell

Mr. Cornell graduated from his Dental Technology Program in 1981. He worked in a small quality laboratory until opening his own lab in 1985. In 1988, Mr. Cornell began lecturing and teaching advanced ceramic techniques to dentists and technicians in the United States. In 1989, he moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to work with Dr. Robert Winter, where he stayed until 1993. Mr. Cornell now operates his laboratory in Madison, Connecticut. He has been extensively published in both dental and technical journals and has lectured and taught advanced ceramic techniques in more than thirty countries around the world to date.

Jensen Dental Draws Large Crowds at LMT Lab Day Chicago 2019

On February 22nd and 23rd, Jensen Dental participated in the 35th annual LMT LAB DAY Chicago, where more than 4,600 attendees, dental laboratory owners, and technicians from all over the world came together at the Hyatt Regency Chicago Hotel to learn about new products, be inspired, network and collaborate. Attendees of the show saw first-hand the synergy of the latest new materials and techniques coupled with technology and artistry.

Throughout the duration of the show on Friday and Saturday, Jensen hosted back-to-back, one-hour hands on demonstrations by several industry experts, including Luke Hasegawa, CDT, Matt Roberts, CDT, Dr. David Hornbrook and Josh Walker, Don Cornell, James Choi, Cezar Jadak, CDT, MDT and Terry McQuiston, CDT. All of the topics centered around new strategies and techniques to increase efficiency, improve quality and consistency, reduce expenses, and increase customer acquisition and retention with the MiYO Esthetic System, available exclusively from Jensen Dental.
