Esthetic Breakthrough! Achieving New Levels of Zirconia Esthetics Through Advanced Technology and Proven Process, Kite Saito, CDT, MDC

In his lecture, Kite Saito, CDT, MDC will address the challenges every laboratory faces when producing implant retained hybrid zirconia restorations. Kite will share his personal experiences on the benefits of combining proven laboratory processes like CAD design, zirconia infiltration and green state finishing with new shade matching technologies in order to achieve more predictable, highly esthetic outcomes.

As a young boy growing up in Yokohama, Japan, Kite knew that he wanted to work with his hands and make people smile. In 1997 Kite began to pursue his dream to combine these two passions by moving to Los Angeles, California. In 2004 he completed his training as a dental technician in the LACC dental technology program. In 2011, Kite earned the prestigious degree of Master Dental Ceramist from UCLA. In 2018, Kite moved from California to Fayetteville, Arkansas to work with Ozark Prosthodontics. This opportunity gave Kite the ability to work with both highly capable prosthodontists and dentists, but also firsthand with his patients. This type of high level and personal interaction allows Kite to perfect his passion of helping people restore their smiles. 20 years later, Kite’s passion to make people smile is stronger than ever. Kite not only is transforming patients lives, but those of dental professionals through his dedication to hands on education, training and speaking engagements around the world. Kite specializes in training dental professionals of all experience levels in the art mastering monolithic techniques and esthetics, for both teeth and tissue.

MiYO® in Focus: Shifting Perceptions in Modern Dentistry, James Choi, MDT

In his lecture, James Choi, MDT will explore the transformative role of MiYO liquid ceramics in modern dental aesthetics and restorative techniques. Attendees will gain insights into MiYO's unique properties and how it blends monolithic and traditional ways together, creating lifelike restorations for every unique patient situation.

James Choi is a certified master dental ceramist with over 20 years of technical experience in crown and bridge, ceramics, implants and dental photography. Prior to opening his own dental laboratory in Connecticut, James held the title of Lab Director for the Master Ceramist Program at UCLA where he was responsible for training students to be some of the best dental technicians our industry has to offer. His extensive background in the dental lab industry gives him a deep understanding of the technical and business issues dental technicians and laboratory owners face daily. Always working to find a balance of high esthetics and production efficiencies, James is actively involved in product development and continues to seek out and provide education in the world of dental technology.

Elevating Esthetics: The Role of MiYO® Liquid Ceramics in Digital Aesthetics and Efficiency,  Jack Marrano, CDT                                               

Jack Marrano, CDT will review how MiYO materials have enabled dentists and technicians to utilize more predictable and consistent outcomes, through the use of digital technology. Jack will also discuss the impact that MiYO has had not only on esthetic end results, but also on workflow efficiencies and the skill sets required to achieve them.

Jack is the Director of Absolute Dental Services Signature Prosthetics Division in the Triangle region of North Carolina, Jack a former Marine, started his ceramics career in 2002. He was Director of technical Artistry for Lee Culp at Sculpture Studios Since 2014 before joining Absolute Dental Laboratory. He has completed courses on advanced implant restorative dentistry with Dr Carl Misch and has received a Fellowship from the Misch Institute as well as obtaining Fellowship and Mastership from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He is a member of the Academy of Osseointegration, the American College of Prosthodontists and the prestigious PEERS prosthodontic association. He was also named LMT magazine top 40 technicians in the US under 40. Today, he continues to work closely with Restorative Clinicians, Prosthodontists, University Graduate programs and faculty Practices from around the country. Illusions in Aesthetics: MiYO®, All-On-X and the Future of Digital Shade Matching, Alina Ceclan

In her presentation, Alina Ceclan will share her expertise on crafting realism through mastering the art of illusion by utilizing optical techniques to achieve natural-looking restorations. Alina will review her step-by-step Miyo application on a variety of cases, ranging from single centrals to All-On-X restorations. She will also discuss strategies for creating easier and more predictable workflows, as well as how she perfected the art of shade matching by integrating new technologies, including Matisse and OptiShade.

Alina Ceclan was born in Romania and graduated with a dental technology degree in 2015. In 2019 Alina had the opportunity to move to London, England where she now works for a private laboratory specializing in high end cosmetic work, implants, and custom shade matching. Alina is a MiYO liquid ceramic Key Opinion leader and travels throughout much of the world giving presentations and providing education to dental professionals.
